Who am I?
My name is Kaylin and I am a dedicated graphic designer from the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. I have been studying graphic design for over half a decade and graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design degree with a minor in Art History in May of 2025. I currently work for UL Research Institutes as a graphic design intern at the Fire Safety Research Institute where I assist in any graphic design amplification efforts.
When I think about graphic design and where I started I am proud of my improvement and progress of where I am today. I developed an interest in graphic design early on but my passion for graphic design came when I attended York College of Pennsylvania. I learned to appreciate things like typographical hierarchy and color choices. I learned that graphic design is a complex discipline and my intention is to never stop learning. Graphic design requires continued development which is my goal for this career I have started.
While studying graphic design, I was focused on studying all aspects of design, but particularly I excel with typography, branding design, and publication design. While viewing my portfolio you will find the common themes of branding and publication design. Sprinkled throughout my curated portfolio there are underlying themes of family which inspires my work and fuels my passion. Working with a purpose is important to me and I hold it close to make my work better and for constant improvement.
